Sherwin Williams, the paint folks, have a slogan: "Covers the Earth."
They don't say with what. We used to assume it was paint. Now perhaps it's deception too, as the company resorts to the tried and true ways of disguising a price hike by redefining standard measures. So a gallon of paint now is only 27/32 of a gallon at Sherwin Williams Possibly at other paint companies, too, I just haven't noticed yet.
I confess that I haven't bothered to call the "Customer Service" people at the company. I already KNOW that the change has nothing whatsoever to do with a price increase. No, it's that pesky metric system. Blame it on Canada! So Sherwin Williams is changing to make the liter measurement come out to a convenient even number, like "3.63 liters."
